We're Getting Ready for the Christmas Concert!

The band is busy preparing for the Christmas concert on 23rd December, and has moved the rehearsal location to the barn venue in Gorley.

We will play a range of festive music with something for everyone, including several solos. There's also going to be lots of audience participation as the band will be playing the Snow Waltz (lean left, lean right stand UP, sit down!) and the 12 days of Christmas as well as plenty of carols.

I can almost smell the hog-roast now! Roll up, roll up for the bar!

Further details can be found here. Tickets are available from Caxtons in Fordingbridge, or by calling 0777 6308933.

December 2017: Salisbury Hospice

Playing almost in the dark! The Training Band with help from members of the main band played at the "Light up the Lights" ceremony to turn on the Christmas Tree lights at Salisbury Hospice. This was attended by many people whose loved ones had received end-of-life care and support from the Hospice, and so for many it was a poignant time.

The band was ably conducted by the Christopher Mahy, and played "Jingle Bells", "Mary's Boy Child" and "The Snowman" beforehand followed by carols through the ceremony.
