Hyde Band star on debut single “Can't do Right for doing Wrong", by 16 year old Erin Rocha. The track, to be released on 15th December, has been tipped to reach the top of the charts, toppling festive releases from Justin Timberlake, The Darkness, Cliff Richard and Busted. The song which was recorded in the Victoria Rooms in Fordingbridge, has already been play listed on Radio 2, which could make the top slot a reality.
Mark, Matt and James Fletcher (Principal Horn, Solo Cornet and Principal Baritone) along with their Father Tim have taken on the challenge of cycling as a team from Lands End to John O'Groats, an estimated distance of 900 miles! They completed the challenge on 18th of September and have raised £2,500 in donations for two charities: The Ringwood Day Centre Minibus Appeal and Cancer Research UK. The family would like to thank those who have pledged sponsorship money to them, and would be delighted to hear from anyone who still wishes to donate funds to these two worthy charities.
Hyde Band would like to express their deepest sympathies to Robin Fearon and his Family following the sad and unexpected loss of his wife Sue. The band is honoured to be asked to play at the funeral in reflection of the support Sue and Robin have given the band over the years.
The much awaited first CD to be produced by the band entitled ' A View from the Top' is now ready for pre-order.

On the Monday 7 April 2003 our Principal Euphonium player, Andy Yule, left us for a new life in Sydney, Australia. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his services to the band and to tell him that he will be sadly missed by all. We wish and his family all the very best in Oz.

On Friday the 14 March 2003 the Hyde and Wilton Training Band entered the Salisbury Music Festival. They played "Ceramic City Festival" a very challenging contest piece for youngsters. They were rewarded with Honours and 1st Place.
